About Susan

As one of MODAL’s Program Coordinators, Susan helps ensure all levels of your program logistics run smoothly. Susan has long been interested in how we foster connectedness and build thriving communities. Her diverse array of experience includes community development roles in the non-profit sector, living and working in intentional communities, and running a beekeeping business with her husband in New Zealand. She has also held administrative positions in sectors including disability, online technology, and regenerative agriculture. Susan’s role at MODAL allows her to foster great connections with a wide array of people, while also tending to that other side of herself that gets satisfaction from ticking off a to-do list!

Susan’s qualifications and accreditations include:

  • Bachelor of Social Science – Policy and Research, International Development
  • Certificate IV in Small Business Management
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessing

Susan loves getting into nature, especially if it includes water, and especially when combined with a delicious chai and great conversations! She grew up in the bush in NZ, and has a large, close family back home. In her spare time, Susan explores her interest in holistic therapies and also loves to curl up with a good podcast or book (ideally on a rainy day!).
