Coaching for Impact and Performance

Off-the-shelf leadership courses rarely fit the organisation they land in. We build each programme around your people, your challenges and the outcomes you're chasing, so what your leaders learn maps straight to the work in front of them.

Program Outcomes:

Suitable for
  • Individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers within their organisation
  • Individuals responsible for their own performance, whilst also providing leadership guidance and support for others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their teams

Customised Programs.

If you recognise the need to develop leaders within your organisation, we can work with you to develop a customised Leadership Development program that suits your business strategy, objectives and requirements.

Together we can create a truly unique Leadership Development program that ticks all the boxes and delivers a positive return on investment.

Real Outcomes.
Measurable Organisational Impact.

As a leader, navigating this kind of uncertainty and change can seem impossible. You don’t know where the next few weeks or even days are going to take you, and on top of that, your team is looking to you for the stability and direction that you may not be able to provide.

Why This Approach Stands Above the Rest

Why MODAL?

MODAL has focused on team alignment and culture for decades, partnering with BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and others to strengthen culture since 1993. Our approach includes:

What They Say About Us

We’ve been really pleased with our experience with MODAL – their consultants are highly capable professionals who seek to understand their client’s needs then design and facilitate the process required to successfully meet those needs.
― Shane
ERGT Australia
Our organisation has been focused on developing a “one team” culture and have seen real value in partnering with MODAL on this, especially with the work they have done with the Executive Team as we move towards High Performance. What I have liked about their approach has been the ability to engage all members of the Executive team. In doing so the trust, cooperation and performance of the team has grown rapidly.
― Mark Newman
CEO, City of Mandurah
MODAL are a great company to work with. They deliver on what they say they are going to do and they are prepared to go above and beyond
― Paul Di Iulio
Chief Executive Officer, Campbelltown City Council
MODAL has a genuine strength in facilitating development opportunities focused on team dynamics of psychological safety and alignment so essential for increased performance and delivery.  Their pragmatic approach ensures teams explore and identify positive changes, resulting in shared commitment to outcomes that benefit individuals, the team and in turn the organisation
― Steve Paul
Director of Corporate Services
MODAL played a significant role in fostering collaboration and alignment across the market area, creating a platform for leadership to work together and surface issues
― John Aran
Asia Pacific Executive, Metso
CCF WA has enjoyed a long and successful partnership with MODAL in delivering mentoring programs that support women working in the civil construction industry. MODAL's mentoring program has had a meaningful impact on both mentees and mentors. Mentees have developed greater confidence, leadership capability, communication skills, and the resilience needed to progress their careers within the civil construction industry. Mentors have strengthened their own leadership and coaching skills while contributing to the development of future industry leaders.

Got a question? We will answer it.

Everything you need to know before enrolling in our courses.

You bring something real you are working on, not a hypothetical. The coach asks questions that get underneath it, and you leave with something you will do differently before the next session. Sessions are structured but not scripted. What gets worked on is set by you and the goals agreed at the start.

Yes. What is said in a session stays between you and your coach. Where an organisation is paying, we agree up front what gets reported back, and it is normally limited to attendance, themes across the group, and progress against the goals set at the start. Never the content of individual conversations.

Experienced practitioners who have led inside organisations, not people who have only ever taught the theory. We match the coach to the leader and the context rather than allocating whoever is free. If the fit is not right after the first session, say so and we will change it.

A mentor gives you their answer. A coach helps you find yours, which is what makes it hold when they are not in the room. Mentoring works well when someone needs a path they have not walked before. Coaching works better when a capable leader is stuck, or is stepping up and the old approach has stopped working.

It depends on what you are working on, but coaching does not work as a single conversation. Sessions are usually spaced several weeks apart so there is real work in between, and run across months rather than one intensive block. We agree the number and the rhythm at the start, then review it as you go.
